My great grandmother, Missouri Bell Weaver b. 1871 in Murfreesboro, NC married John Charity on 7/30, 1877 in Southampton Co. VA. She later married my great grandfather, Elisha Owens, and had 9 children. I am wondering why the Charity marriage ended so soon. I see the Charity family is a large one in that area and I am hoping someone else is familiar with John.
